Our Story
In 2012, Shaun Greaves, our leading Dental Surgeon and Periodontist, acquired his business from the highly regarded Professor Phillip Dowell, who established the practice in 1989. Shaun has continued to build upon a strong tradition of excellence, with his philosophy to place preventative dentistry at the heart of the practice, recognising that lasting oral health is achieved through education, early intervention, and consistent care.
This preventative ethos runs throughout the practice and is particularly reflected in the work of Shaun’s associate, Nicola Phillips, our General Dental Practitioner, along with our experienced hygiene team. We are pleased to welcome both new and existing patients, providing personalised appointments and practical guidance for both adults and children.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide exceptional periodontal, dental and preventative dental care within a welcoming, family-friendly environment for patients in Witley and the wider community. We are committed to delivering specialist expertise with warmth, integrity, and genuine compassion, ensuring that every patient feels comfortable, respected, and truly cared for.
As a practice dedicated to periodontics and long-term oral health, we believe that healthy gums are the foundation of a confident smile and lasting wellbeing. Through meticulous diagnosis, evidence-based treatment, and a strong emphasis on prevention, we help patients protect their natural teeth and maintain stable oral health throughout their lives.
We recognise that many people feel anxious about visiting the dentist, and we take particular care to support nervous patients with patience, understanding, and a calm, unhurried approach. By listening carefully and explaining treatment clearly, we aim to build trust and ensure that every patient feels safe and at ease throughout their care.
Our philosophy is pragmatic and patient-centred: treatment plans are tailored thoughtfully to each individual, balancing clinical excellence with practical, long-term outcomes. Our aim is to create a trusted dental home for families where patients feel supported, informed, and confident in their care for years to come.
